Interfraternity Council approves plan to raise minimum GPA requirement for men’s Greek life

Last month, Elon University’s Interfraternity Council introduced the biggest change in recent years by raising the minimum GPA requirement for men’s Greek Life from 2.5 to 2.7, which corresponds with the priorities of the Strategic Plan.

Plans for new fraternity finalized, decision for new sorority expected soon: Additions to add diversity, options for Greek students

Resulting from conversation by the Pan-Hellenic Council in spring 2009 concerning the increasing number of Greek students at Elon University, the school will add two Greek organizations to campus this year.

The first organization is Delta Upsilon International fraternity. The second is a sorority, yet to be determined. The chosen sorority is expected to be announced at the end of October, according to Shana Plasters, director of Greek Life at Elon.
